This artwork is part of my Great Aussie Watercolour 'Road Trip' - a 12-week creative adventure across some of Australia’s most breathtaking natural landmarks.

Kati Thanda (a.k.a. Lake Eyre) is one of the world’s largest salt lakes, known for its shimmering crust and vast stillness. It only fills with water every so often, making it a rare and stunning sight. Using a photo by @swannysa, I painted this piece to honour the lake’s beauty, isolation, and pale, pink-hued serenity as it fills with water this year (only the fourth time in 160 years!)
